Why are uk recruitment agencies encouraging migrant workers to britain?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
They make money from bringing in migrant workers, companies seem to prefer foreigners who will work for far less than the minimum wage and do "dirty" jobs with long hours, undercutting the British workers who cannot find work...

A triumph of capitalism and the mythical "Free Market"...

Employers like cheap subservient workers who they can hire and fire at will with no consequences.British workers ,silly buggers that they are,are looking for a wage that they can live a half descent life on without sharing a room with Five others and being treated like cattle. A kind of a 21st Century Dickensian Britain is just around the corner.

The top one is because Gordon Brown (in other words LABOUR) changed the Laws on allowances so the Agencies abide by the Law, that Labour introduced.

And the second one highlights what HYPOCRITES Labour are, as they introduced the Laws that the Employers are using.

I am glad someone is highlighting what Hypocrites Labour are.

Keep up the good work

We'll get the Labour party demoted to nothing yet.

I am having trouble relating your question with the links, one is about tax fiddles, one is about employers exploiting workers and your question relates to UK recruitment agencies attracting migrant workers.

Putting this aside I will answer your question, the life blood of any recruitment company is their workers and one of the biggest hurdles they face is getting good calibre workers to apply to them, irrespective of Nationality.

Immigrant workers often come from difficult economic back grounds without the luxury of tax payers funding a safety net, a job is a valuable asset to them, so they try very hard to get one often up with the lark, knocking on doors, sending out resumes, scouring the internet and newspapers to find opportunity. They show up on time, work hard, are respectful, trust worthy and reliable.

To an agency they are like gold dust, employers like them, their work ethic, reliability and hard work, it's in their blood.

Recruitment firms cannot afford to upset their candidates or clients, both are too precious in a tough market, of course the UK media know everything about everything.

Because Immigration and employment law isn't being upheld by the authorities

As jack has said . I personally know immigrants that have been exploited by Agencies .
