There are plenty of cowboys still around in Texas, Oklahoma, California, Arizona, Montana and any other western or southwestern beef producing states so it is hard to say where most are. Hawaii has a huge cattle ranch on the big Island and there are cowboys in Pennsylvania too. The times have changed but not the cowboys so much although they are fewer now there are plenty of them. You just can't see them from the road.
