Good friends, nice food, and just some simple good times. To make it special it has to be something unique that you like. I can suggest something special in the refreshment category, or a "theme" that you like, or something like that. The best of times are when you are with friends and things are done in moderation. I don't know if that helps, but just relax and have fun. 21 is a great age to reflect on the past and dream about the future, so enjoy the heck out of the day.

note to Julie -- he was an adult when he turned 18.

I would just try to make sure no one drives home drunk. That is your responsibility. I know a girl that was killed on her way home from such a party. The poor driver had to spend a year in jail for that.

You need to develop a theme for this event, something like becoming a legal adult, passing from teen to adult hood, etc.

Next decide how many you will have attending, what refreshments you will serve. The cake should reflect your new status as an adult of legal age, then serve punch or soda.

Just have a great time with your friends.

Its my 21st birthday on friday and im having a party, but i really want to make it a bit more special and i dont know what to do.. ive been looking forward to this for months and i want it to b amazing! Someone please help! :) x
