It's pretty stupid. Everyone wants tolerance, but nobody is willing to offer it
here's the prob bob... in the modern era, like since the invention of the lightbulb. what specific "religion" other than islam has been responible for terroristic attacks based on their faith alone? answer, nada, zilch, goose egg, none, zero, negative. and so on and so forth...
islam is the only structured belief system in the world that mandates violence against unbelievers in their source religious texts.
now i'm sure people will explode with the rhetoric "but what about the crusades? and christians have killed more people then than what muslims do now!" it's always the idiots who spout off more than they can chew, and i'll explain why...
1. even IF christians killed so many people, it is NOT written in their religious texts (bible) to kill unbelievers for being unbelievers ex: sura 9.5 "the verse of the sword" And when the holy months are over, kill (the people of the book, i.e. christians and jews) wherever you find them. lay siege for them, lay wait for them, prepare for them each and every ambush. unless they perform zakat (holy islamic prayer) or pay the jizyah (citizen slave tax) then leave their way free, for verily allah is oft forgiving, most merciful."
2. jerusalem is taught as an early mulsim city... therefore people believe that the evil christians went crusading for something that wasn't theirs, which is also a lie... before islam was a major belief, ALL middle eastern countries had origins in greek, christian and judaism. it wasn't until after the death of mohommad that islam was spread so quickly and rapidly by warfare that eventully almost every arab converted.
3. in the last 20 odd something years, 100% of all plane hijackings and terroristic bombings in the world had one thing in common, they all shouted "allahu akbar" (allah is great) it is no longer profiling when 100% of all attacks are islamic, it is instead a "description of the suspect." there has never been an account when an angry black man has hijacked a southwestern flight cuz he didn't get to philly on time. as prolific as that sounds i apologize, but i digress, islam is the only religion that demands the deaths of unbelievers... anyone in any other "religion" that kills, does so on their own account, cuz their texts (bible, torah) do not allow it.
The IRA terrorists were bombing England for 30 years. Much support and money for the IRA was coming from Roman Catholics in New York and Boston. Don't complain about terrorists, because what goes around comes around. England had pubs blown up, shopping centres blown up and the dock lands were blown up. Why do Americans whine about 911?
There is never any excuse for terrorism, no matter the "cause".
Remember - the definition of terrorism includes VIOLENT ATTACKS ON CIVILIANS to coerce a government into making political decisions.
There is always an alternative to violence. Always. Gandhi did it. Martin Luther King Jr. did it. What's Bin Laden's excuse?
I think everyone has their own right to believe what they choose, and everyone must accept other peoples beliefs.
Ex: if an atheist bombed a church or something like that
