What the Manchester Evening News do it up to them, they are afterall a business.
I do not agree with those who think that the BNP should be banned, and I do think that they should be allowed to stand in elections, but no one can and should force a private business to give the BNP coverage.
BNP deliberately target poor areas like Salford with low turnouts and poor education figures, because the BNP knows that nobody with a brain would ever vote for them.

Failing to invite any legitimate candidate to speak at a public debate is interfering with the electoral process and in my opinion should be illegal.

The left-wing Manchester Evening News, the MEN, is holding a debate on April the 24th at Salford Arts Centre amongst the invited candidates. Note, the 'invited candidates'. Nine are standing, the Ukip candidate declined the invitation and Eddy O'Sullivan of the BNP was barred from taking part. That leaves the other seven to attend. Given the fact Joe Public is sick to death of corrupt politicians I doubt many punters, other than party hacks, will be there, but surely in a so-called democratic country the MEN should be big enough to invite the BNP to the table. Remember, Nick Griffin won his NW Euro seat two years ago when over one million people voted BNP. What is the MEN scared of, democracy or the fact many are turning to the BNP again, witness the by-election in London last Thursday when the BNP came second, Labour winning off the backs of the immigrant vote.
