If you are very young you will NOT understand this kind of thing. As you grow old, I'm sorry to say you turn a bit cynic but at least you don't let anything fool you. The McCaans murdered that child and the authorities looked the other way. Same thing happened to a disabled little girl in Mexico about three years ago, in which the child was murdered by one of the family members (extremely wealthy by the way), and even the grandmother was into it, lying left and right. Don't know how it all ended, but doubt anyone went to jail for it.
Now, if it had been a poor child of a Welfare mother who had a seizure and drowned in the tub or fell out a window or was mauled by a dog, or died in a house fire due to there not being smoke detectors, etc., the "authorities" and the media would concentrate ONLY on the fact that the mother is on Welfare and the "child always looked sad or depressed", or the "mother is on Welfare and the apartment had a smoke detector but it wasn't working properly and the home was completely a mess, with food on the sink, roaches on the walls", etc., etc.
Yes, people will ignore the fact that the Welfare mother probably needed medical care for mental or emotional illness to begin with and should have never had a child, but lacking in medical care and without the advice of any relative or friend she felt alone in the world and did what millions of women still do: she had a baby!
The poor woman will be victimized in the news--specially on a slow news day--and the extremely wealthy one will be in the news too but only to be interviewed as the "grieving" mother and to of course feed the morbid need for news regarding the crime scene where the child was found.
If you're young, please ignore the nonsense of the grownups; not everyone is matured enough because they have reached full adulthood!
If you are simply a caring adult, please know that the world is indeed filled with wickedness, but those who are there to combat it--such as police, government, and even the church--choose to do it their way, not God's way. If you are a person of faith, simply bring these children into your prayers whenever you do remember them.
