Traveling through time while possibly 'impossible' would have to be a very careful operation to prevent changing the history of the time line that led to time travel in the first place. Of course there's the multiverse hypothesis where if a time traveler accidently screwed the pooch a new time line would be created that would exist along with the traveler's time line....no harm done.
Then there's travel between these time lines where it gets even more sticky. A good book to read is 'Goldman at the End of the World' , an E-book on Amazon... not a bad read! Of course since I wrote it I may not be the guy to ask...still, for a couple of bucks what can you lose?

Could you imagine if he or she identified themselves?
they would be taken to be questioned and the time machine confiscated to find out its technology.
Anyway in the film The time Machine the original he went forward in time and met his friends son twice but the second time his friends son was a old man who had lived his life but the time traveller had only spent a few minutes travelling through time and so the future must already be there if this is possible. and so our lives are not random occurrence's.
Actually in the back to the future film he says Oh your future has not been written yet,and no ones has and so this means that the future is not there already and life is just random occurrences....
Anyway time travel should be left alone.
could you imagine sending back in time a squad to assassinate Hitler or stop JFK from been assassinated or stopping the Titanic sinking and the future you came back to would not be the one you left
and just think of all of the unsolved crimes you could solve if you could travel in time?
I actually have the idea for a film of a history lesson in the future where the students come back through time to witness historic events and it could be the start of a series where the students find themselves in all kinds of situations.( i should Get this copyrighted)
