Has David Cameron opened Pandora's box ?

No its not Pandora's box.Hope was left in Pandora's box.

And the public haven't got a hope in hell of finding out who of the"great and good" have been "ripping" off the tax man.Lets not forget a lot of journalists and editors of the comics we laughingly call newspapers are hardly on the PAYE system are they.

The story will sink without trace in a week and all the leeches will be able to peep over the parapet again and the dumb old british public will carry on being screwed and believing that its the folk on the dole and immigrants that are fiddling the system.

And if that jimmy carr had any balls he would have fronted out that slimeball cameron and,as he appears before the public on TV etc,He should have offerd to show his tax reciepts and challenged a few of the smug as*holes in the house of commons to do the same.Would love to have seen some of the SOBs trying to squirm out of that.

Given that the actions of Jimmy Carr were legal, Cameron should have known better

No because people on here are not typical of the UK population, and the majority won't have a clue what you are on about or who Pandora is!

He can't name names because he would end with a list as long as a gas mans mac, with the name Osbourne half way down.

The Jimmy Carr thing was a spoof, orchestrated by Cameron to give the impression he has some intention to slow down his pals gravy train, it's just media fodder, propaganda for the people and I am sure Carr was amply rewarded for his epic performance.

The tories are just a collection of corrupt cretins out to screw the Nation out of as much as possible to maintain their life styles, just like Labour.

Cameron is indeed a tosser. As you get older (and hopefully wiser) and if you are not influenced by the media, it becomes quite depressing to see that the people in power are indeed either idiotic/deceitful or a combination of the two, be it snakes like Blair, or dickheads like Cameron. Demonising anyone who gets in their way be it the poor or doctors or celebrities-ti follow their own agends; I'm so ashamed of the BBC and their shameless almost Daily Mail like coverage of "news". Makes you wonder how much BBc bosses pockets are being lined with. Also makes my blood boil how they waste our money. Bastards

Absolutely.

Especially since its recently come to light that Gary Barlow is in a similar tax avoidance situation. However, Gary Barlow is a huge supporter of the Tory party.

This may be why David Cameron suddenly said he no longer wants to comment on individuals who avoid tax.

Yes he has, half the Tory backbenchers will have their own tax avoidance schemes and they will be scrutinised now and brought to the public's attention. The Cameron millions that David is heir to were padded out by exactly such schemes.

The media now have ammunition to name and shame all these individuals and that's what they will do, every other day will be the naming of another high profile tax dodger.

He's not the sharpest tool in the box is he? The longer he stays as PM, the more of an idiot he makes of himself.

We all know this stuff goes on, we've all known it's been going on for years. It's one of the "perks" of being rich - in fact, didn't Panorama do a documentary on it recently?

Cameron's a mug because now the public are clamouring (or they should be - I know I am) for a law making it illegal to use tax avoidance schemes, or to make all such schemes illegal and no Government will want to introduce such a law because all of their backers (many MPS and Peers too I'll bet) take advantage of these schemes all the time. Bang goes the funding.

He should NOT have opened the box - he should have taken the money (that's one for guys of my age on here who remember Michael Miles.

Blair opened Pandora's box. Heath conned us into opening it.

His ability to put his foot in his mouth while making a U turn is the only thing I like about him.

The majority of his party's supporters will be sticking pins in their voodoo dolls of him if the press really do a follow up on these schemes...

jimmy car is no big issue, cameron is just using a smoke screen to try divert away from the real problems of society/ economy.

I suspect that he press will be having a field day width this story. A lot of skeletons will be coming out of an awful lot of cupboards and with a few notable exceptions all of them will be prominent Tory party sponsors and members.

After attack on avoidance, he backs down in fear of opening Pandora's Box

Its true he was wrong to critisise one person yet not another because he is a Tory supporter. I was livid with Barlow because he didnt invite one direction onto the Queens show.I know HM was very disapointed.

Yes but he has been told to shut it in no uncertain terms.

Yes he did. Took one look and then he closed again very quickly. Lessons have been learned.
