Are there any successful prison escapes?

What about ''Alcatraz''? 3 men escaped from that prison in 1962. Some believe they perished in the San Francisco bay, while others (including their family members) believe they made it. Prison officials claimed that it was impossible for anyone to escape from Alcatraz. There was water all around that Island, with sharks. When three men did (it took months of planning), they closed it down. People can go there now and see the prison. Tourists come from all around the world to see Alcatraz.

''ALCATRAZ ISLAND, Calif. ― For 20th-century crime buffs, few capers match the intrigue and ingenuity of the "Escape from Alcatraz," the 1962 prison break that three inmates pulled off with stolen spoons, dummy heads and a raincoat raft.''

Eamonn De Valera escaped from Lincoln and went on to be Top Bloke in Ireland

How about the great train robbery Ronnie Biggs , he was not captured but gave himself up to the British Police ,.He was ill so wanted to return to the UK for FREE treatment . he died in a care home a few years ago . PS- he fled to Brazil and lived there for many years , and also fathered a boy .

No one can escaped for the world is so tiny.

Yes plenty of them.

Try the FBI website usually about half the top twenty are escaped prisoners still on the run.

**I searched the same thing on Google but I can't find what I want**

What I mean by successful escape is that the prisoners, well escaped and NOT YET caught.

It could be in history or very recently.
