Why was the Titanic never pulled up from the ocean?

And what items were recovered from the wreckage?

There a few reasons:

1) It's a gravesite and shouldn't be disturbed.

2) They didn't have the technology or equipment to even locate the wreck until 1985.

3) The ship is massive and lies 13,000 feet below the surface. Raising it is impossible.

Like in the film ...Raise the Titanic...?

It was found 70 odd years after it sank and so has decayed, and it is too far down and is in pieces.

Anyway why should we raise it when it is really a grave yard for those who died and were never found?

OH mind you they raised the titanic in the film for minerals it was supposed to have on board....

Can we now have some peace for ANOTHER 100 years please?

And the idea to put the wreak on the internet and televise it is just beyond belief....

There isin't enough money for such stuff who would be so strong to pull out the Titanic. I'm not sure for the money. But Titanic is huge, so you would need strong stuff, and allot of stuff.

It's really far down and at this point if they tried it would fall into pieces. And we've only recently had the technology to so something like that.

So far down, only recently we have been able to get to it, But sadly if we pulled her up now, the ship would fall apart.

Too deep for recovery. Divers can't even go down.

SpongeBob wouldn't like that !
