However if you like Yahoo's style of pulling articles from different sources, you might consider news.google.com
By default it assembles articles based on their topics. The more papers/magazines write about a topic, the higher up the topic appears.
You can also search for articles (it IS google you know) and also create personalized "news alerts." For instance, if you wanted to know when new articles about your favorite sports team, you create a news alert for sports, and the name of the team. Simple.
You can also access many of the news sites directly, like NYTimes.com or your local newspaper, etc. Many of these also feature RSS feeds, which allows you to get scrolling CNN-style headlines on your PC, smart-device, etc. You can find out about RSS feeds by looking them up on Google or looking for programs/apps that support RSS.
Use a news aggregator, instead. It sources content from a wide range of websites, and thus, you get a more impartial view (you can adjust personalise this, if you so wish.) Try Google News, the Drudge Report or the Huffington Post.
I go to news.google.com for news, if I want to comment on news I go Yahoo News
http://www.nytimes.com/
For over a year I tried switching my "homepage" (the first web page that opens when I use the Internet) from Facebook to a news source, in hopes of becoming a better rounded person (one step at a time haha).
But I've found, as many of us have, that Yahoo News is not a highly credible news source. Not always, but it can also be a source of poorly written articles of little substance and grammatical errors, among other problems.
So are there any suggestions as to which news source would be a good homepage? Thank you!
