I would gather some people, and organize them to build a fort around my house. Then we would all live there, and grow eggplants and apples. We would let in more people, and when we didn't have more space, we would extend the fort to include my neighbours' houses. And then we would reconquer the Earth.
OR I would organize some people to hollow out a mountain with stone pickaxes. Then we could grow wheat and feed it to cows. We would naturally light the cave up with torches, to keep zombies from spawning :P. Then, we could build a terrace on top of the mountain, and surround it with fences, the keep out the zombies.
