Enclosed a link on the 1950-3 Korean war. The war which included Britain as well, ended with just a cease fire,,not a peace treaty.
Over the years since the North has had such periods as this.They want food and medical supplies.When they have got them they have settled down for another decade.
The new young man is trying to prove himself. China and Russia wont get involved.They are laughing at him as much as us. If the asker takes him seriously he will be encouraged. Treat him like the Trolls on these pages. ignore him.
You need to read up on history. Was was declared in 1950. Neither side ever surrendered. Technically a state of war still exists. The hostilities stopped when an armistice was called in 1953. An armistice does not end a war, it just stops the fighting.
The North has been threatening invasion almost since the armistice began. It does this periodically to "flex its muscles."
As much as people now days are shaking in their boots over the prospect of war, hostilities are not nearly as tense as they were in the 1950's. A resumption of the hostilities in Korea could well have China and the US on the same side. The Chinese do not want to upset the apple-cart of their enormous manufacturing and export business. North Korea is a huge pain in the a$$ to them. The USSR is not a factor as it was in the 50's because it simply does not exist anymore.
Seriously, look up "The Korean War." Wikipedia has a good article. I know, it is a lot of reading and people today have short attention spans and like their answers short but it will explain everything.
How about a more resent history lesson. Remember the South Korean warship sun by the North Korean submarine on March 26, 2010. This was 3 years ago.
