Hi Eric. Welcome to the world! It seems you are 17 now. Ok let me tell you, I'm not a US citizen, I'm from South America. I was 23 at that moment. It was a major impact for the world. I woke up on a normal day that day at 9:30am and as we are just one hour ahead the US East Coast a few moments later I was hearing the radio and the guy was relating something shocking he was watching. I did not understand why a radio guy was relating something he was watching and then I understood he was watching something on the news. So I turned on my TV on CNN -we have spanish CNN here- and well, there it was. It was shocking because America is known as the most secure country in the world and this was a major attack. It was unfair, it was unfair for the 3000 people who lost their lives in the hands of this crazy muslim radicals. So it was tough and it is still tough to watch the documentaries this days ...
I was a major crash, and probably for the rest of the world to know that nobody is really safe in their own home, and that this crazy Al Qaeda guys were over there and being really dangerous. Without doubts capturing Bin Laden this last year was a major militar achievement.
For sure it changed how Americans face security and how the see security in the highest level.
I think a big heal will happen when a new Tower will be erected right there in the memory of the 9/11. Because life must raise again.
I dont know about the world.I only know about England. For a few years after especially when George Bush was in office, there was a war on terror. I dont personally see any changes. Extreme Islam amd Sharia law sweeps across the world.
