The bedroom tax starts in April?

I think the changes affect the amount of housing benefit people will get, if you have a spare bedroom your housing benefit will be reduced by a certain amount, if you have 2 spare bedrooms it will be reduced by even more and so on.

This will cause a lot of problems for certain groups such as the disabled or sick who may need more space for equipment etc. If you are sick and need to store oxygen bottles in your spare bedroom you will still be expected to move to a smaller house if you can't make up the difference yourself. Apparently special circumstances will make no difference to the new rules.

Presumably you will then have to store your oxygen bottles in your lounge which will also be smaller so it fits in the smaller house. You may ask where are all the smaller houses for people to move into.......pass.

Dump the Scottish ones for a kick off. Why Holyrood House was never used as the seat for the Scottish Parliament is beyond me instead of squandering millions on a new building that was perfect for the job. The old soaks castle at Mey can go as well.

As for the others, many of the rooms are used as offices and staff quarters. These buildings belong to the Nation apart from Balmoral, Sandringham and a couple of others owned outright by the Royal Family.

How will the likes of the vacuous Ecclestone girls and others manage in their £500 million houses.

Well I never! I didn't realise the royal family were on housing benefit.

Hadn't really heard of it. I understand its something to do with housing benefit and underusing them

I am not really jealous of the people in the big houses, and it must have taken ages to type out..

Thought it only applied to England and Wales? I am not on benefits but I have spare rooms for a nice nubile blonde (or brunette) who needs a roof over her head :)

When the goverment introduce the bedroom tax for under occupied bedrooms in social housing how much will the Royals be paying for this little lot:
