While failing to realize that the US would no longer exist if it'd been faked.
Because citizens of more than 50 nations died in the attacks, not just Americans.
Those deaths constituted an Act of War against each and every of those 50+ nations.
And reality is that US national security has more holes than Swiss Cheese.
So much so that everyone from kiddie hackers to Wikileaks can breach it at will.
A person would have to be nuts or naive to think the intelligence services of 50+ nations (plus every other country on the planet interested in knowing if the US was telling the full truth) couldn't, wouldn't or didn't breach US security looking for answers.
Apparently those spies found that 911 was exactly what it appeared to be:

Because no coalition of 50+ countries attacked the US.
No global headlines screamed the truth exposing the US as liars.
And no sanctions or embargoes against all US trade & travel wiped out the US as punishment.
