Unless someone out there has already made a time-traveling device and is waiting till the right time to use it hmmmm...Or did you mean it to be Dec 21st? Sounds like you have a typo. But to answer your question as if it was "Dec 21, 2012" then I would have to say no. This happens every year and people try to find other ways of how the world might end.
