How can you say you're a feminist and want equal rights is the real question.
They call themselves feminists for a reason.
Not all woman sit around and don't do anything even those that don't work do housework that I doubt your capable of doing without help from your mum, or at least can't do as much as she can do.
But I do kinda agree that feminists are stupid they want the same rights as men yet go on and on about how superior woman are to men and they then say **** about men that they read in one of those stupid gossip magazines.
I am all for equal rights but a group of feminists is just another word for a group of closeted lesbians bitching about men all their lives.
I can call myself a dachshund but that doesn't make it so. I am a feminist if I work as hard as my husband, get and receive the same care and consideration as him and I get and receive the same opportunities and pay as a man in the same position. Equal means EQUAL. If someone calls themselves a feminist but expects special treatment, they may as well call themselves a dachshund.
REAL Feminists want equal rights for everybody.
You are right, most of the people calling themselves Feminist nowadays are just selfish.
The United States Constitution already guarantees equal protection (= equal rights) under the law to all citizens. When any group today demands "equal rights" they are actually demanding an elite, privileged status for themselves. Prime example: "affirmative action".
Not all women who claim to be feminist are ACTUALLY feminist. Women that want equal rights understand the idea of being liberated and not depended on anyone, certainly not men!
Those women aren't feminists, a feminist works, because that's the concept, everybody be self-supporting(both men, and women), so you can come together on an equal footing.
So the women that 'purposely don't have jobs' aren't feminists, they're traditionalists. Women that do 'absolutely nothing for their husbands', are lazy, that's not a conviction, or ideal, that's just being lazy.
If you ask me I think that's a load of BS. They want equal rights yet half of them purposely don't have jobs and all they do is sit around the house and do absolutely nothing for there husbands. My aunt is a feminist and it makes me so mad.
