Certainly not the Snow, it is melting on impact.
That is part of the problem, in Scandinavia, it will settle, they will drive over the top of it, in Blighty it just can't make up its mind.
so on one road it will settle on another it won't, meanwhile some will have half an inch and down the road twenty miles there will be a foot of slush.
I can't see the tops of Nidderdale at the moment from my office because of the gentle fall of snow, it has now been falling for an hour, and the ground is wet, but no signs of settling.
Blame the Carribean for sending us that gulf Stream thingy.
Note one of our drivers came back from in Ayr in Scotland, and had been told by a resident, if it settles there, god help the rest of the country, because you will be inundated.
The Gulf Stream, it buggers everything up lol.

Snow. But not for long!
There are also discontent and disillusionment.
Different kinds of birds who migrate here without a passport. . But they dont claim benefit,except some bread in your garden,parhaps.
