The hundreds of people in the audience seem to think he is innocent ? I personally have no idea. In the UK for the past year since accusation were made against the late Sir Jimmy Saville we do seem to be having a bit of a bandwagon with quite a number of elderly performers being arrested on historical sex charges My view is its done for compensation reasons, but I may be wrong ?.
I think it is to late to bring charges, how can justice be served like this? The police are spending a huge amount of police recorces loking into claims of things that hapened THIRTY YEARS AGO! there is crime going on now, people are raped by boring non celebrities everyday and tell the police imediatly, that is where police atention should be focused.
I think it smells like a witch hunt, and how can someone defend themelfs against charges about things happening thirty years ago?
In March 2013, Harris was arrested and bailed until May, without being charged. He was one of 12 people arrested as part of Operation Yewtree and has been questioned by police over historical allegations of sexual offences. As of late April 2013, Harris had not commented publicly on the allegations, but was understood to strongly deny them. Harris returned to the stage in May 2013, for the first time since his arrest, and thanked the audience for their support.
What I think? Difficult to say. Usually where there's smoke, there's fire and he won't be the first or last elderly man who's proven guilty of committing a crime like this. However, based on our legal system, one is innocent until proven guilty by an impartial judge or jury of his peers in a legal proceedings.
He was found guilty, but it is religion that should have been on trial.
