This is likely his last term. I'm no fan of his, but I agree with him on some health issues.
Years ago he banned trans-fats from cooking oils. The restaurants said it would kill off their business. No one noticed, and they're doing fine with less fat.
NYC has a diabetes crisis, it's driving up health care costs. The mega-soda ban didn't work but it was a reasonable effort. They pounds of sugar consumed every week by teens and adults here just become a burden to all of us.
Well then come the next municipal election? Fire him! And do it with a large soda in your hands.
