If the scenarios of nuclear war between the US and USSR circa 1960-80 came true, the majority of the Earth's surface would be hopelessly radioactive and uninhabitable for decades, if not centuries. So much dust and debris would be thrown into the upper atmosphere that it would reduce the amount of sunlight that would reach the ground for years. This, in turn would result in fewer plants growing (in those areas that could even still support them.)

Those not immediately incinerated by the initial blasts wouldn't last much longer due to a lack of food, water plus continual exposure to radiation.

In short, you would die. The earth would die. It would not be pleasant. It would not be like Mad Max.

Hun, you are trying to scare yourself....STOP THAT!! That won't happen. Even if one country did one nuke, there wouldn't be that kind of devastation. Of course, If the US, did it, I must say there would be great devastation because our nukes are way more powerful. All the stuff you see on the movies would probably happen. But, like I said...do not scare yourself. There's way too much good times in your life to enjoy so don't let this crap stop your good times. It's not worth it. live in a bunker for the rest of your life, if you are not kill by the bombs explosions or radiation probable all the explosion would create a lot of dust to cover sum light and everything will died and freeze.

You dont have to worry about that because we would all die and no one would care, but from what i heard is a unicorn will fly through the sky and prevent the nuclear attacks from Korea

if you live close to a major city as I do , you will evaporate....just like that, anyhow , would you really want to survive after the explosion ??

So if the worst happend everyone started firing their nuclear arsenal at each other. What would the result on the planet be? would we be able to live on it if we were in a bunker when it all happend?
