Why is MH370 still missing?

The current "priority" search area, which may not even be where the place went down is 60,000 sq km (23,200 sq miles) - an area roughly the size of Croatia and is deep under the ocean, up to 5000 metres deep.

Ships have sunk to far less depths and have never been found. Compared to the search area the plane is minute and the search is the equivalent to looking for a needle in 50 haystacks.

Who knows? I bet someone is hiding something. Some people believe it's in a airport hanger some say it went through a portal in space. I think it's under water in the ocean and will get found eventually. I would like to see more submarines in the search for this plane and hopefully eventual recovery.

I agree, very suspicious. I have an economics class and my professor came up with this theory that the plane was hijacked. I'm not saying I believe her theory, but will all of the technology there is...IDK. It is a sad situation either way. How does a plane just dissapear?

Captain Zaharie Shah deliberately flew the plane into the drink in order to call attention to the political and human rights abuses of the Muslim junta who control Malaysia and were rigging elections at the time MH370 disappeared.

In order to make his demonstration as effective as possible, he had to confound investigators for as long as possible, so as to keep everyone in the world thinking about what happened.

To do that, he disconnected the plane as completely as possible from all electronic, radar, and satellite means of tracking it. And he headed for the very deepest part of the Indian Ocean. And when the plane finally ran out of fuel, he used his skills as a pilot to bring it down as gently as possible, so that it would sink without leaving any telltale debris.

They'll find it eventually, but his scheme has kept it in the news for a long, long time.

The distance across the Indian Ocean is greater than that across the United States. It's a big place with lots of deep water. It would have been stranger had they found something than the fact that they didn't.

It's on the ground somewhere, hiding until it's new mission is started. It will be interesting and horrific when it appears in the airspace of a major city and no one will give the order to shoot it down.

I dont get it.... How can a huge plane like that just disappear and not even be found yet with todays technology? It seems very suspicious, like someone had it land on a remote island and covered up to pretend like it was missing
