What was Jane Fonda's role in Vietnam?

Jane Fonda openly sided with the communist North Viet Namese. Had this nation declared war against North Viet Nam, Fonda would have been arrested for treason against the United States. As it was, Ms. Fonda was more than a little unpopular for her role.

The following link has some inaccuracies. For one thing, there were two other groups who were dressed-up to meet Jane Fonda. They were sufficiently insubordinate that they didn't actually get to meet her and were punished severely as a result. I was later a roommate with one member of those other two groups.

She was a Hollywood anti-war protester and traveled to North Vietnam where she was used by the Communists as a propaganda tool.

ie: being photographed manning an anti-aircraft gun and laughing.

Personally I've always detested her.

She's made one good film, 'The China Syndrome'.

A traitor traveling through Viet Nam and doing her best to de-moralize the troops ----- why she didn't

stay there is beyond me.

Being born after the fact and not having all the details, just media stuff. What was Jane Fonda's role in the Vietnam War? What was she doing there? I do not care for her myself. Seems like everyhting she does is a hoax but I do not have enough information to back up my thoughts about her.
