Using the word ni**er is not a crime. If blacks want people to stop using this word then they should start by stopping the use of it themselves.
People hold celebrities with high expectations and to use a racial slurr coming from the south where she's from she most likely used that word. I'm sure she used the n word and I'm her interview on the today show she brought up a problem in our society where African Americans call each other that and,she stated that it bothers her that their calling eachother n***ros when she had the odasity to use that slurr herself. I have the feeling she's all of the sudden feeling the remorse as she said this happened 20 years ago why is she now feeling remorse? Probably because her career is going down the drain and all she can do is sit and watch.I feel as if she has done this more than once I saw a video where Paula Deen said," I have a black friend he's about as black as this board behind me, and then chuckled," being that the board behind her was the color of tar, I found no humor what so ever. T then she managed to say in the interview , " hey bud come over here I couldn't see you standing in those curtains you blend right in." also I believe she has enough money to sit back and just go on about life she had to learn the hard way.
THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT HER SAYING THE N WORD. Her saying “N***er" wasn’t even the WORST thing. It all started because FBI was questioning Paula Deen because a former employee claimed she was harassed, paid less (because she was a woman), and physically abused while working at Paula Deen’s restaurant. The former employee happen to mention to the FBI about Paula Deen’s racist weeding fantasy. The FBI asked Paula Deen has she ever said N***er and did she ever mention a wedding fantasy that included Black people dressing as slaves and serving dinner. The actual black employees at Paula Deen’s restaurant actually were treated horribly, paid less, had to enter the restaurant in through the back door (similar to actual slavery). Paula Deen also paid female employees less money and if people quit they black balled that person from gettin another restaurant job.
The Paula Deen incident is 100% about power abuse. People working for her and her brother were being physically abused, racially discriminated against, and unfairly treated.
Many Paula Deen supporters are saying this all about her using the “The N-Word” when in reality Paula Deen and her brother were misogyinst, racist, who treated employees like they were sub-human.
Her just saying “The N Word” is how many people are trying to spin the story, but the reality is Paula Deen made people’s lives a living hell for YEARS and racism should never be tolerated, especially in extreme instances like these where the discrimination is akin to slavery itself.
She does not deserve another chance!! She sucks now, and so does her diabetes-ridden garbage!!
Yes. In describing the type of wedding she wanted to have for her brother she said she thought it would be beautiful to have a plantation style wedding, like during slave time. With niggers as all the servants, and niggers as the entire wait staff. Those were the words she used. Now can you imagine a black person being invited to that wedding? I don't think so. And if a black person was at that wedding as a guest, what would they think? And further more, can you imagine anyone telling you that they thought it would be beautiful to have a wedding with niggers everywhere serving the food? I would think this person is out of their mind. She is a racist. Period. Her current employees are black. Her driver, assistant, and housekeeper. Or should I say . . . Her niggers!
I don't understand this generation. She is getting it bad for something she did years later up until now. People change as time goes by. But it seems people still criticizes her for being a racist regardless of what her actions are to this day. I heard she is a Obama supporter, if she was racist wouldn't she vote for some white dude instead?
This will cause people to think twice about revealing there past to people. Nevermind about background checks, lets just keep it to ourselves because of how people can be so hypocritical about 1 thing we did along time ago. People judge us from 1 bad thing that we did in our lives no matter if we come clean after.
i don't know about that, but I think it's good to remind people that racism in America is still very much alive, and making people aware can lessen the effects of racism. If anything good can come out of the Paual Deen thing, then I think it's worth it.
Well, apparently all black people are ni##ers now according to the media. Paula Deen wasn't referring to all black people, she was referring to one specific person who had a gun to her head during a robbery. But the media apparently wants to equate that one person with all black people in order to demean her.
People are being to hard on her. Who hasn't said the word. And quite frankly I'm pretty sure she was talking about one of these young black men who go around doing drugs, and robbing people. So who cares.
I think it was tacky, but I dont think it calls for destroying a white haired old lady.
