However there are circumstances where exceptions must be made. As examples animals that present a threat to society such as wild hogs, a.k.a. wild boars. A wild boar is A threat at two levels. One a wild boar will attack a human. Also they are known to carry certain diseases, and a herd can easily double in just over a year's time. The wild boar in North America is not native, and is also an invasive specifies. They also have no natural predators beyond humans.
Another instant where killing an animal is acceptable is one that's wild injured suffering from something such as gangrene. Also diseased animals are not only a threat to people but to other animals of the same species, and in some cases all other species. Here killing them and removing the carcass for proper disposal protects both others of their kind and as pointed out other animals in general as well as people.
Then you have to consider that in some cases that left unchecked, animals such as the wild boar, and deer, can be devastating to crops. A herd of deer will double approximately every two years in size. Which will also affect the price of food you buy. With the number of farms dropping, and less land available for farming, to cease hunting even deer would would result in eventually those farms if all were protected, from being able to produce enough food for people. As the deer would be eating it, and as the population grows less would make it to the store, and to people homes. Add in the wild boar, and the affects will be seen and felt much faster.
Then you have to take into consideration other property damages, and injuries due to hitting one with a vehicle. A wild turkey although not very big if hit with a vehicle can run into hundreds of dollars. Squirrels as cute as they be, can also do a great deal of damage to a home, by chewing through wires and roofs. They can be more than a nuisance for people. So some hunting is good, and does provide benefits, if done for the right reasons, and for for supplying food that otherwise some might not be had to eat.
Those who oppose hunting and killing of animals fail to realize the full impact, and ramifications ecologically and economically to society. Due to limits (understandable ones at that), I can not truly go into a lot more depth than this. But hopefully I've presented something that maybe thought provoking.
They dont kill animals for fun in a civilised country. They have been killing certain animals for food for centuries, but the method of killing without stunning is sadly carried out in the uk. I dont think they have to kill animals for skin or furs these days.
According to the Holy Bible, man has dominion over all things on earth. Regardless, I think killing animals for sport or simple abuse is an abomination, and there's a special place in hell for people that do that. Killing animals for food is acceptable.
Never for fun
OK to kill for food.
I can get my clothing at Goodwill.
At the price of meat
My son hunts rabbit, squirrels, and raccoon.
I would never kill an animals for any reason, because I think killing animals is wrong. Hunting, or killing for fun is totally despicable. I might kill for survival if I was starving.
On the other hand I don't mind going to the supermarket and picking up a packet of bacon or chicken, because I like eating meat.
No it's not okay to kill them even if they attack you trap them. Watch Michael Jackson Earth Song Music Video and you'll see what I mean it is the saddest thing I have ever seen.
