I won a free cruise, scam or not?

I dont really understand what you mean by "There was a little box" I am an English man and dont understand slang. Usually if you havent entered a contest you cant win it. I have enclosed a link so non Americans know who Beef o Bradys are. This site goes across the world.

If it was a scam they would ask for money upfront for "expenses" you must contact them.

You are right to be skeptical.

Usually when something sounds too good to be true - it is.

I would contact 'Beef O'Brady's' (which I assume is some kind of restaurant) and ask to speak with a manager. They might need to put you in touch with their central or corporate office (if it is a chain).

They should be able to verify if you have actually won a cruise - or if someone is scamming you. Sometimes even when you 'win' something, they are misrepresenting what you have actually won.

Tell them to give you the exact details, and whether there is some kind of sales-spiel, or hidden costs to you involved in this 'prize'.

I hope you just won it outright, and have a great time - but verify I say unto thee!!!

Good luck!

If they ask for both you and your husband to attend a conference in order to claim your prize, they probably want you to buy into some timeshare holiday package deal first which means your cruise is not completely free.

If it was at beef o Brady's. Then it could be legit, go and ask them

my parents always put their name in those free trip boxes. but then again, nothing is free lol everytime we get a call, my parents just ignore it bc they think they have to attend something in order to get the trip.

At beef o Brady's there was a little box and it was for a 4 day cruise to the Caribbean so I did it along with a whole bunch of other people. They called me today saying that me and my husband won the trip, to call before Friday to claim it, and we can pick any days within 18 months.... Is this a scam????
