Doomsday Theories
On December 21st, 2012, a massive solar storm will wreak havoc on the Earth. This theory is usually paired with the weakening magnetic field doomsday theory, to make us seem more at risk for solar damage.
IS IT TRUE?
No, at least not in the sense of all this 2012 hoop-lah. There is nothing the indicates a massive solar storm will happen exactly on December 21st 2012.
Who knows? A hundred thousand people were without power for 7 to 10 days during Hurricane Sandy! Guess they still survived.
To my knowledge there is little chance of getting another hurricane like hurricane Sandy on December 21!
And a solar flare has little chance to do any damage these days!
