Why do people continue to live in the UK, where it's against the law to defend yourself from attack?

I've even heard of people being sued by their attackers because they fought back during a violent home invasion.

All you say is true, and its a lot worse. People like me have fought against it for years.Of course you must understand most of these you refer to have happened to white people who have no freedom of speech at all.

If anyone not white were to be arrested there would be riots. I tend to think they would be right. I respect the Muslim people for standing up for that they think is right and protecting their own heros. Its something we would once have done.

I dont make any comments at all in Twitter or Facebook. Its too risky.

Although having said that things are ok for most people. We accept we cant protect our property or ourselves but we just let them carry on and claim from the insurance. Its only a BNP government that would change this, but that will never happen.

So what do you want? A whole nation should just get up and go somewhere else to live? What are the chances that law will even affect your life? I'm 56 and I've never needed to defend myself from anyone or anything, at home or away. I'd not give it a second thought in choosing (as if most folks have a choice, which they don't) what country (or state) to live in.

Apathy.

People have been charged in the past for chasing the attackers off there property then shooting of catching and beating them. This is not considered suitable force or self defense.

The UK is a great place to live.

Rule of law is obeyed and the police are not corrupt.

In any legal system miscarries of justice do occur, but in the UK they are thankfully infrequent.

Not only that, but it's illegal to speak your mind. Several people were arrested this year for Internet comments, including one guy merely for ridiculing a soccer player's heart-related collapse on a football field during a game. Police tracked his IP address and put him in jail for 60 days. Free speech is a thing of the past in England now. There was also a security guard fired from Woolworths after many years of service because he chased down a thief outside the store. UK's a sh!thole.

All other things aside, most people do not lives their lives assuming they are going to be attacked in a home invasion.

So I guess that is why!

No. It appears you are hopelessly addicted to supermarket tabloid papers, intended for the underclass.

Your definition of quality of life is the right to shoot intruders?!

Because they do not believe what you say !

the law here is pathetic and so unrealiatic
