One time when my cat was stuck up in the attic with a bag over her face (she got into a little plastic bag without my knowledge, it scared her, she couldn't see, and she just took off running up into the attic with the bag on her face) I could not get her to come down to save my life. I was so scared that she might smother in the bag, and I could not get to her. Finally it hit me to try this; I found a video on the internet with cats meowing really loud. I turned the volume up, it lured her out of the attic (with the bag still on her face lol). Maybe you could take your computer to the door and try this. I always keep those little plastic bags out of my cats sight now.

cats are smart he will climb a tree or hide , keep shouting and looking for him I hope he comes home safe

Hurricane sandy is getting worse here. My cat has been outside, but now it's really bad out and getting dark! I can't find my cat, I tried calling for him and putting food out. Anyone know what a cat does in a storm?
