What actually happened is that a person who was barely alive was reported to be dead. Which isn't terribly surprising since there was no doctor in the vicinity and the bystanders in the vicinity were hardly going to get up close and personal with an ebola victim and confirm his death beyond doubt.
Have a look outside, check a reliable newspaper or website. Do you see Ebola zombies anywhere? Of course not. If something like that really was happening, you wouldn't have to ask.
