What do they use on the gators?
1. All snakes are protected species in Australia, you can only kill them if they pose a direct risk to you or encroach on your home, even then you are preferred to call a snake catcher to remove them.
2. Shooting a snake, or should I say AT a snake is pointless......they would be almost impossible to hit...........a length of wire or chain is far more effective because of their flexibility, and the relative height of a snake and a human........
3. There has never been a law or legislation banning snakes from biting humans.
If they are not close enough to shoot they chop them with a shovel, I have a brother who lives out in the bush, he has no sentiment when he is confronted by a brown tiger snake, it is deadly and could kill him.....so far he has survived out there for 30+ years, the snakes didn't!

Have you any idea how hard it is to hit a snake with a gun? Yea if you practise & make a hobby out of owning a gun then maybe but for average joe they will miss again & again. They can empty a magazine & will not hit it. You are better off clubbing the dam thing to death as you will almost certainly hit it first time.

We had guns banned many years ago, so the average ocker can't own one these days. Like I said, we don't need 'em.
