You'll have to keep up with the headlines. The death toll is rising by the hour. Thus far, there are at least 51 deaths reported and rescue efforts have only just begun. No doubt, the death toll will be greater in the coming days.
As of 10:45PM Pacific Standard Time, a total of 91 people were counted as having lost their lives in Oklahoma. Sadly, many of them were children. The people had warning. The tornadoes were just too powerful---EF 4, so far. It could be upgraded to an EF 5, depending upon the extent of the damage. I am praying for our neighbors.
I have not heard of any deaths as of yet, but it is highly possible there will be.
Edit: I actually just heard 6 confirmed deaths as of now. I believe it included an infant or a toddler :(. I only caught the end of the report.
Way too early to get any kind of accurate count, but it's (unfortunately) expected. One hospital reported 19 injuries (expected to climb), and they are looking for 75 kids at one school. Two schools hit, many neighborhoods flattened. It' will probably be a couple days before they get a final count.
:(
or did the people make it?
