America does NOT believe it created Capitalism.
However America believes that capitalism made America powerful, and believes their model should be used in other countries.
Capitalism only works when the government establishes laws which allows free enterprise to flourish and maintaining a level (fair) playing field. The efforts to maintain a level (fair) playing field means that international corporations need other countries to follow similar rules.
Actually they copied their financial institutions from the Bank of England, who incidentally were robbing people in the name of capitalism before America was even thought of.
Why has capitalism become an article of faith, it's just an economic system. Oh yes silly me, Russia and the revolution. Sigh.
Well you can see that if things stay (relatively) peaceful worldwide, the world will move on from it to some degree at least.
Lets hope.
LOL, I also love the way they criticise older Nations legal systems too, like Italy's which had a fully functional judicial system operating when the Americas were populated by their original inhabitants who were much nicer and more well balanced than the current lot...
Do they I have never heard them say that have you any proof if so can you show it or is it all in your mind.
Only because we've done better with it in only 200 years than anybody else has.
They can keep it as capitalism has no conscience.
They also believe they invented liberty and freedom.
Americans are the strangest of all nationalities for assuming things like that.
Wait a minute while I check for the official statement that America created capitalism................................. Can't find it anywhere. Now go and find some more reasons to hate America.
