Now it's children having a bath in a home that has a water meter installed who are the latest victims of society's cruelty!! The parents pay the bill whether it's on a meter or old-fashioned water rates. (There is no need for an apostrophe in 'bills' by the way.)
Are not children living in houses which have tv sets which need a licence paying for? Or electricity to powers their computers and charge their mobile phones? Come on, you're missing out on loads more silly things to complain about!! They are given lifts in cars which have to be paid for too.... the list is endless.

Water meters are great for single people and old couples .If you have 12 kids you will be pocketing a fortune of the rest of us so i wouldn't worry about the water bill.So it's thatchers fault about the crumbling water pipes is it?.Why didn't gordon and tony spend the money that the country got from selling the 3g networks (it was billions) on the same thing,?Most of thatchers north sea oil money went on benefits and the NHS .People shouldn't have children and hand the bill to the rest of us.
I love my water meter, I am just careful how much water I use, we don't go dirty but we don't run the washing machine half empty like some and we have water butts in the garden for watering our plants, the lawn has to take care of itself, grass always re-grows, I can't abide people who leave a lawn sprinkler running all day so if they have to pay more good job!

You dont get it free without a meter. You are charged more than with a meter. But I would contact your water company to check your taffiff.
All rationing by price of essentials is a crime against humanity, whereever it goes on. If we have to safeguard water resources, far better to do so by using the Building Regulations and improving installations and appliances.
And the theft of our water and sewage services was a criminal Tory scam anyway. They should be renationalised without compensation.

Had Thatcher used North Sea Oil revenue to build new water treatment plants and re- lay pipes we would now have the cheapest water bill's on the planet and the best water treatment plants etc.

I have noticed that the argument that we need water meters because we have no water (which cannot now be sustained) has changed to you can cut your water bill.
And they said that because there was no Competition, water meters would give a incentive for water companies to cut bill's
Even though i could save money i would not want the family next door to go dirty because they cannot afford water bill's.
