As my old Mother used to say "you either believe it or you don't" I think she did a bit.I regret I never have been able to believe or accept.However I am not an Atheist, if anyone does accept it that's up to them.I do know faith what ever sort it is can give a lot of comfort to many people especially at times of trouble or death.
As to the Bible.It was written so many thousands of years ago that its hard to see anything as literal to our age. I have enclosed a link to an article from a Bible group,very biased,but you might be interested in seeing what they say.
