I'm Canadian. Canada's the world's 2nd largest nation in geographical size.
And most of this country is pristine, unspoiled wilderness where no human's ever set foot:

And a whole lot more besides just that. So there's no shortage of places to disappear to.
We have over half the world's total of freshwater lakes and rivers, the largest region of certified forest on Earth, and the WHO rates Canada as having the world's cleanest air.
There's deer, elk, moose, caribou, beaver, bison, boar, pheasant, quail, grouse, ducks and geese of all kinds, plus fish of all kind from salmon to trout and more.
So heading off into the wilds is no hardship for me.
If you know what you're doing and put some thought into the tools, gear and equipment you take with you, you can enjoy quite a high quality of life.
(i.e.: carpentry tools, portable wood-burning cook stoves, seeds for planting, fishing gear, knives and tools for tanning & working pelts and hides, plus a whole lot more.)
Spread out amongst several canoes, you can transport immense loads in one go.
That's how our French and British ancestors first colonized Canada centuries ago, by canoe.
And that's precisely what I'll do if the world ever suddenly comes crashing to a halt.
I'll grab my fiancee and our families and paddle off into the middle of nowhere and not stop till we're hundreds of kilometres from the nearest roads or communities.
actually I was obssessed with these ideas when I finshed watching the '' THE WALKING DEAD '' i watched it without a break , and so when I finished watching the 3rd season , that time 4th season wasn't released , for 2 months I was stuck in this world , I thought that I would not leave the town or my house , my gate would protect me , for weapons I will always have a pistol beside me but will only use it in life and death situation becaz noise attract the walkers , I will make a pike and armour for myself , and I will keep some fire crackers with me , as zombies/walkers are attracted with noise the most , they can also see and smell u , so I can use fire crackers to distract them to be safe , And also I can kill one zombie , rip his body apart and put all his blood on my armour , this will hide my smell as a human and when I will walk among them they will recodnize me as one of them ..... hehehe! I know I am quite crazy about this so no need to mention...
I'd go to a desolate house in the countryside via an underground tunnel I prepared so I can escape if necessary. I'd go with two friends and I'd take guns and ammunition.
I would not need to go anywhere. I would stay here at my computer.
My weapons would be ME! My two hands/arms and two feet/legs.
There is much a human can do with what they have!!!
Turn off the TV and go to sleep.
Nope. I would hide under the first bed available :-D
Pray the rosary.
I would collect water bottles, food, and a machete.
Just as well there are no such creatures.
