Not exactly. He had a previous arrest record and was on probation for a prior ID theft and fraud conviction. A condition of his parole was that he could not use a fake name again. He used three fake names when making the movie. He violated his parole and after a hearing with the parole board he may be sent to prison for that even if they can't nail him for the video.
He has priors on his record and for his safety he's being held in protective custody because he's not very popular right now with the higher ups in the Muslim community.

I heard on TV that the person who made the now "infamous" video mocking Islam was arrested. I have tried to find out the truth. I did see that he was taken in for questioning but was he really arrested?
