The U.K. is now more violent than the U.S., and it spends more on welfare payments alone than its total tax revenue brings in. For those that don't understand the implications of that it means that even if EVERYTHING else in the government was cut the U.K. could not afford its current rate of benefit payouts. Essentially you're paying to keep people who hate you (and are quite vocal about it) living comfortably so that they can dismantle society in style.

There is no UK any more - we are part of Europe with all its feckless inhabitants and have been sold down the river by our Governments for many years. They (Labour, Conservative and LibDem) will go on with their snouts in the trough of the EU as long as we allow it. The UK is no longer important on the world stage when you have mass murderers like Obama, Blair and now Cameron dancing to a higher authority for their own gratification.
Its impossible to properly answer this type of question and keep within Yahoos rules we are all bound to do. Suffice to say it has changed our country out of all recognition,and in a bad way,not a good way. Sadly most immigrants are here till they retire then they go back. Not all of course.
Mass unemployment our schools and hospitals pushed to breaking point, reduced public spending destroyed local economies and communities. Natives pushed into sub standard housing while the migrants and immigrants get the cream.

It has kept down wage costs in the government sector and other industries that employ the less qualified members of society.
