I`m 13 and really bored! HELP ME!!!?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
It’s a good sign if you’re bored with the internet otherwise you could end up getting addicted to Yahoo Answers. There’s hope for young people yet. Study would be my advise. It’s boring but useful later on, sort off. If you’re into art, then download some animation or photo programmes like Blender, Gimp. Photo Pos Pro, Windows Movemaker, Videopad and create some mayhem on YouTube. Learn how to do something you’ve never done before. But best of all, explore the countryside where you live if you don’t have far to go although not much fun at this time of year if the weather’s bad. What do friends do, are they all stuck in computers? There’s more stuff to do at your age than there’s ever been for someone of your age, although you don’t see teenagers outside as much anymore as they used to be, a bit like old people.

This is from an answer I posted a few days ago.

‘It’s the kids today that are boring. They’ve been blandisized into barcode commodity consumers with ever increasing state police control. I remember being around Europe in the early eighties and I couldn’t get over how bland and ‘normal’ all the teenagers were. I thought, thank God Britain’s not like this, but it is now. Can you ever imagine Britain’s teenagers leading the world in some fashion music craze ever again? I don’t think so. I think Britain’s lost it’s leadership in this field. You ask ‘do any teenager have ******* morals now days’ but does anyone teach them any in secular Britain? Do you? Do their teachers? Does anybody? If they’re not being taught it, then why would you expect them to have any?’

‘I’m seriously thinking about closing my internet accounts, partly because of the good it would do me and partly because of the cost. It’s just not worth it anymore. It’s beginning to bore me and I can feel the 10 year novelty wearing off. In my experience in life, all fads last roughly 10 years from start to finish with minor resurgence every now and then. As fads go it’s been one of the better ones, but it’s coming to an end. Then you move on to something else. The internet’s not worth a tenner a week nevermind £30. I have no interest whatsoever in the s*** cable or internet tv providers want to shovel onto my tv screen and freeview at the moment has hit an all time quality low. Newsnight’s gone down the pan since this new guy has taken over from Paxman and Wark. Apart from Al Jazeera and RT, there’s nothing, but you can’t watch them all day, so in my own small way I sympathise with the teenagers of today. They must be bored out of their skulls and I need to get myself another good bike.’

5 Tips with Adolf Hitler - What to do when bored

So you are 13 and you are bored? You live in a small town/village huh? Not that very long ago, the internet was not in easy access to 13 year olds. Back then 13 year olds tended not to be obese blobs racing to knee replacements and cardiac failure. Back then 13 year old boys in small towns/villages would go rabbit shooting, get a job at the hardware store, go camping, get a hobby, help others and or their community by volunteering. Some kids raced pigeons. others mulsed sheep, still others built models.

The world does not owe you entertainment. Start valuing your time. Get off the computer and do something.

Hope that helps.
