Hmm, no the overwhelming majority of Americans don't have any thoughts about Canadians one way or another. Poking fun at us doesn't mean they hate us.
Can't they make Canadian Club at little stronger ?
I have visited both the states and Canada , several times. I have only ever found harmless 'banter', much like between the English / Scottish / Irish.
