Its all just an image people get in thier mind about a place. Mostly drawn from media and TV shows/movies. Its like that for every place. I live in Arizona and when I tell people who have never been here they think I live in the Grand Canyon, and ride a horse around an old western town. Even though I live in a large modern city, far from the Canyon, and Iv never been on a horse in my life. Its just a general image people have about places they usually have never been to. No worries mate. (LOL I just had to say that ;-)

Australia and australians have mixed people.. Queensland and nsw, Sydney you will find a tiny accent and some sound British.... And than there is places like Victoria Melbourne, it is mixed... Most of the population in Victoria is Lebo, Arab, Turkish, Asian, Indian, Somalian and Not that many australians... Most are Australian because thay were born here, but yeah Australia doesn't have a certain accent, it's evolved changed, I don't know one person that sounds like how everyone tries, and fails ahhaha? Please tell me why you think we ride kangaroos to school, say mate all the time and put a shrimp on the barbie.. We don't even call it shrimp we call it prawn, and the prawn is cooked in a oven or a fryer..
