Isn't the whole thing family related? The suspect is the father of her sisters etc, etc? It's a small town and they retained him pretty quickly, before any real evidence had been revealed to the public about her disappearance. They also have evidence of him being close to a river which has very strong currents and leads to the sea only a few miles away. I think it's obvious that her body is yet to be found because the likely-hood is he has put her in the river. I may be wrong, but it's looking more likely as the weeks go by.
No. They have a suspect on a murder charge, if they hadn't got some sort of evidence that she had been murdered, then they wouldn;t have charged him.
No. They must have some evidence that he killed her or they would not have charged him with murder.
