People get shot everyday and everyday, the cops follow procedure to investigate each shooting, and make arrests.
Well, that is except in this case.
See, the cops didn't investigate what really happened between Treyvon and Zimmerman. All they know is Zimmerman claimed self defense, and at that point the cops left. They didn't investigate the shooting. They didn't record any facts or statements from all the witnesses. They didn't even take Zimmerman into custody for further questioning.
They.
Did.
Nothing.
Don't you think that's odd? Don't you think the Martin family deserves to know why their son was shot while he was walking home from the store? He was shot by Zimmerman just blocks from his house, inside a gated community.
As for Zimmerman's claim of Self Defense, according to the 911 tape of Zimmerman's phone call, he had spotted Treyvon walking down the street and thought he looked suspicious. Despite being told NOT to, Zimmerman went and confronted Treyvon and eventually shot him. So tell me, how do you claim self defense when you were the one that started the confrontation? Furthermore Treyvon was not armed, unless you consider a bag of Skittles a deadly weapon. Again, the self defense claim doesn't seem to make sense.
Also, the cops claimed there were no witnesses to the fight and shooting. Yet now there are a bunch of people claiming they saw the fight, but their stories all conflict each other AND conflict with the earlier facts of the case, namely, the 911 tapes.
Any of these things should have been enough to warrant a further investigation, no? No. The cops just left and have considered the case to be closed. That was a month ago. Once the story hit the national news, the FBI has launched their own investigation. Yes that's right. The FBI. Investigating what should have remained a local tragic news story.
You'll notice I haven't talked about the fact Treyvon was Black, or that Zimmerman is White/White-Hispanic/Latino, nor that the cops and police chief are all White. That's because none of that changes what happened. Unfortunately, it does have many thinking this whole incident was racially motivated, and frankly, I can't blame them.
You'll also notice I haven't talked about rumors about Treyvon being suspended from school for marijuana use or what might have been his facebook page, or the intentional confusion generated by some news outlets about who really was Treyvon Martin (there's apparently more than 1 guy with the name.) Again, none of this changes what happened and just underscores the epic failure by the police to do their job.
So many of these posts to the Treyvon Martin shooting are Blacks accusing whites of being "racist" for defending Zimmerman or not being 100% on the side of Treyvons " Lets burn Zimmerman at the Stake" camp.
Also... I was really struck a few years ago when a white couple in my hometown was brutally and I mean brutally tortured and murdered (even set on fire) by a group of blacks. This was not classified as a hate crime nor did it get the attention that this is getting.
I did some investigative work and I was stunned by just how many Black on white violent, and I mean violent crimes are going on. Also the hugely disproportional number of black people committing crimes. When put into context of their relatively small population, it is really startling.
Houston we have a problem!
After a few back and forth sessions on youtube it became blatantly obvious that there is some major ignorance and misinformation going on in parts of the black community.
I was repeatedly being called a racist and was given blatantly false crime data in response to my posts by mostly blacks. This is worrying...
I have black friends and I am very positive about the future of this country, but it is becoming apparent that there is a major backwards thinking subculture in the black community that needs to be addressed in a real way. Many of these people really haven't a clue as to what they are even saying... Yet they are so quick to call others racist. What gives?
I think it is time for a paradigm shift in mainstream media and the US population in general.
I do not see how any facts point to Treyvon being wrong AT ALL!!!!!! Zimmerman has given at least THREE different stories as of NOW! This isn't a race crime.. This is a wrong vs right case! This child was shot from behind after going to a store to get skittles & ice tea!! Where the hell does anybody see the the SELF DEFENSE in this? It's pathetic that anybody could fix their mouth to put this child down, and try to find any WRONG in anything that he done that night!!! Treyvon was NOT A THREAT to Zimmerman AT ALL...AT ANY POINT! IF this could happen to this little angel it could happen to ANYONE'S CHILD! They told this WANNA BE COP TO STOP FOLLOWING THE CHILD!! So if he felt sooo THREATENED why the hell did he keep following the boy, and then take his life.. Treyvon was shot from behind, and can be heard SCREAMING OUT when a bullet hits his body!!!! Zimmerman NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE..POint BLANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because liberal politicians and their media cohorts want to incite racial tension and exploit it for political gain.
It doesn't even matter to them what the facts are. They will portray Martin as an innocent joyful youth that got gunned down by a white man just because he was black and wearing a hoodie. They'll show pictures of Martin as a 13 year old, and claim that Zimmerman was white, even though he isn't. They'll claim this is a clear cut case of racism, even though Zimmerman was clearly not a racist.
They'll get Jesse and Al to rush down to the scene and gather up mobs to chant for "justice". They'll even hold fake congressional hearings and invite the parents to decry laws that allow people to carry weapons for self-defense. The New Black Panthers will put a price on Zimmerman's head.
This is a tragedy, for sure. A young man is dead, and that is sad, even though more and more the facts point out that he was in the wrong. It's still sad that he was killed, no matter what he was doing. But it's even more sad that he is being turned into a martyr and being exploited by ruthless people who put their own agenda ahead of any other concerns.
Not sure why the people below me feel the need to outright lie. You can insist that Zimmerman is white all you want to, but that doesn't make it true. Pretty sure hispanic people don't consider themselves to be white. But I guess hispanics are only a minority when it fits the liberal narrative.
The other guy claiming that no investigation was done is also lying outright. The police reports from that night are public record now... Go look them up.

Zimmerman shot Martin because Martin was attacking him, not because Martin was in the neighborhood.
A white ("Hispanic" isn't a race) vigilante confronts and shoots to death an unarmed black teenager, and the local cops blow it off as "self-defense" without ever actually investigating. In the South. That's the deal.
In the Southwest, Hispanic gangs regard their local neighborhood as their personal turf and feel justified in shooting anyone who wanders in just by making a wrong turn.
Iam a white woman and think he should b e charged ,One listen to the 911 call he called due to the boy being in his neighborhood so what we can be when we want to be..he followed the boy when told not too..as well saying they always get by with things ..they boy was prob scared to have someone following him ..they boy was unarmed ..so yes he need to go to jail..

Okay, I know that Zimmerman shot him because he was in the neighborhood. But I mean, why so much hype about it? Many people get shot EVERYDAY. And some face way worse situations which are known about yet don't have the same amount of exposure of Treyvon Martin. Whats so special abou this case?
