Nothing will happen on Dec 21. There are a lot of doomsayers out there and they never even once got it right. What will happen is we will have a merry Christmas Holiday season and celebrate the birth of Christ, Son of God Who was born in order to save us from our sins and our fears!!!!! The world will end one day but we don't know when.

I seem to recall, though, that scientists have recently discovered another Mayan calendar that makes it clear that the old one was WAY out - we should have a few millennia left with luck.
One can only wonder how this date has upset and distressed so many good people. I know its somehow based on the Mayan calender suddenly ending as I understand it. It seems obvious nothing will happen,even another date will soon be mooted. As to what will happen,I would presume nothing ! I expect I will forget what day it is,I often do ?
