If you want to understand why WTC7 came down there are numerous engineering reports on the subject, of which the most authoritative was published by NIST. 10 buildings were destroyed in New York that day with 25 more seriously damaged and 100 more damaged even though "only two were hit by planes" so I really don't understand why that part has anything to do with anything.

They do, but that doesn't mean we should pay attention to them. In 7 years this organization has managed to attracted the signatures of something like 0.025% of the practicing engineerins in just the United States, which is pathetic. And the signers of this petition have never published any contrary engineering reports, spoken at any engineering conferences or otherwise done anything else to suggest an alternative explanation for 9/11. Many of the technical claims of leader Tricky Dick Gage are laughably stupid. Let's go back to WTC7 for example:

No it isn't. The JCS proposed Northwoods after the CIA was forbidden from doing that sort of thing. The White House looked at it - essentially a plan to commit acts of petty vandalism and blame it on Cuba - and immediately rejected it. What this has to do with 9/11 other than prove the government would reject such a plan, thus proving it was NOT an inside job is a mystery.

Dude, you really shouldn't get your "facts" from a group of teenagers who spent a few nights Google searching and decided to make a Youtube video.

There's such a thing as questioning authority and then there's just being a d****ss.

Ok, so say you think 9/11 was an inside job of some sort. So...where's the proof? No, I'm not talking about screen shots from live footage from 10 years ago with some voiceover asking the same the questions over and over again. I'm talking about actual physical proof. A memo or email or some sort of document discussing this operation, or perhaps an interview with someone involved in the coverup. Something that doesn't end with a question mark.

After 10 years do you honestly think it's possible for a "perfect" coverup with absolutely no leaks of information? This is despite federal government employees losing hundreds of laptops and cellphones with sensitive data on them and despite over 50 million(!) sensitive documents that have leaked to places like WikiLeaks or other similar outlets. And yet, no proof?

Finally, consider this. If 9/11 WAS a coverup, it would have had to have involved the complicit cooperation of the thousands of people who work in the towers - including those who DIED that day. In fact it would have required the complicit cooperation of many 1000s of people throughout the city, again, including the firemen that perished that day. Do you honestly expect the government managed to just happen to find over 2000 people willing to commit suicide for some sort of false-flag operation?

So yes, be skeptical, ask questions, but when you get reasonable answers, IT'S TIME TO STOP AND MOVE ON. And consider where your information is coming from. I mean, are you going to believe 1000s of scientists, architects, forensic researchers, etc, or a bunch of people who speak of nothing but unending conspiracies?

Certainly, I DO encourage people to question the government.

This does not mean the government is wrong every time, of course.

But it is a good idea to verify the facts now and then.

That is what people should do in a democracy.

I do think the official story is more or less correct in this case. Osama himself confirmed it, and boasted of his education in architecture which allowed him to come up with the plan of flying fuel-laden planes into these structures.

He said it was to make people see that Islam is Strong. Because if you are going to buy a horse, will you buy a strong horse or a weak horse? [Most Americans would prefer a horse that didn't kill 3,000 innocent civilians, and so I don't think Americans quite got the right message.]

In any investigation the accepted hypothesis becomes the one that explains ALL of the available evidence with the fewest un-supported assumptions.

9/11 is the most investigated criminal act in all of human history, involving hundreds of government and private agencies and at least tens, if not hundreds of thousands of professional investigators with a broad range of expertise and direct access to the evidence. After all of that the accepted hypothesis among this professional investigators is that KSM ad OBL conspired to recruit 19 terrorists to hijack 4 commercial airliners and fly them into four symbols of American political, military and economic power.

There is no shortage of amatuers on the internet who after a few nights of Google searching and watching Youtube video's put out by other amatuers think they know better. Yet not a single one of them has come anywhere close to offering up an alternative hypothesis that explains ALL of the available evidence with fewer un-supported assumptions than that which is generally accepted by the experts.

So when you say the "government story" (which a misnomer at any rate) makes the least sense I guess I don't even know what you are talking about because nobody else has even offered up an alternative story to challenge it.

What conspiracy theorists mostly do is JAQ off (Just Asking Questions) hoping to sow the seeds of doubt. The last thing these people want is answers. And they certainly lack any objectivity because their motives are ideological - and ideologues make lousy investigators.

Questioning government is a very good thing. Wrapping a distrust of government in all of this obvious nonsene like "no-plane", "CD" or "dancing Isreali" claims is just a perfect way of making sure your legitimate concerns about government get ignored.

Belief in 9/11 conspiracy theories is how the Chimpanzee part of the brain "questions the government".

World War 2 did not change the attitude of humanity. It remains the same.

What is most destructive about 'Truthers', (I could use another word for these persons) is that they are sowing disunion among Americans at a time when Americans need to work together for the benefit of their country. John Kennedy was tragically shot in Dallas by a young man hostile with his surroundings and dissatisfied with his life. 'Truthers have managed to convince more than half of American Adults that there was some insane conspiracy by goodness knows who (they have at least a dozen main suspects).

The sad fact was that there was no real defence for America against determined and deranged people obsessed with killing American men women and children.

As Jonathan Kay said; 'what chance do we have of solving the problems of Health Care, Budget Deficits, Terrorism, if half our people believe the Government is capable of 911'? Good question.

While conspiracy theory believers are all hoax victims and dumb as a box of rocks, that doesn't mean the whole world is equally stupid and gullible.

60 governments had every reason to find out for themselves who murdered their citizens.

And in a world where the kiddie hackers of Anonymous and the whistleblowers of Wikileaks breach US national security as easy as jaywalking, only an idiot would think foreign intelligence services wouldn't or couldn't.

There would've also been economic or military retaliation by nations seeking to punish the US.

When it comes to 9/11, it's all a matter of morons because none of the people claiming to have done any research have accounted for the fact that more than just Americans died on 9/11.

Believe the government if you want. I just go with it and believe what they say. According to the Constitution, citizens can say anything they want, about anything they want to, at any level of harshness. People who say the government is a big lie can go their merry way, because Congress would accept the insult anyway.

Ive done a lot of research and read many books and saw many movies on the topis. Its something that intrest me for many reasons. There are a lot of stories about what happened that terrible day and the stary that makes the least amount of sence after everything ive looked at is the story our government told us to believe. I know its a touchy subject but when did it become bad to question our government? Us citizens should be STRONGLY encouraged to question anything our government tells us!

My opinion is led by the evidence, the evidence says the terrorist did it, just so happens that every organisation with any credibility does so as well does not make it the governments opinion. It is supporting the facts.

Its not what your government tells you.Its what happened in fact.I am English and saw it happen on the TV on that terrible day. It was carried out by extreme Islamic Terrorists as revenge for Palestine.
