The UN DID do something about Kony back in 2005. They sent a multinational military force to capture him and break up his army. The mission was only partially successful as Kony fled the country and hasn't been seen since. Most think he's been dead for years.
KONY 2012, meanwhile, was nothing but a scam to sell suckers a box of "KONY 2012" junk. Absolutely none of the money collected by the website went to Africa or towards any sort of effort to capture Kony.
People got aware.
-Aware that Kony 2012 was all just a scam and the guy behind it was nuts.
And when they did, they ditched that Kony b.s. and the crazy f*cker responsible for it.

The came up with "Conan O'Brian 2013", and then they replaced that with "Conan the Detective 2014".
It was a money-making hoax.
There were videos saying that we need to spread awarness of kony and that we will capture him, but it never happened, what are people doing now to stop him? I never see Kony posters around town like I used to. I saw the video by invisible children about kony, it seems a lot of people got inspired to make a difference, did they?
