Scotland free of Westminster free of the EU, DREAM COME TRUE !! It would allow us to look at other avenues such as EFTA which is a much better relationship with Europe and one the UK should be looking at never mind Scotland.
16 seconds - I am not being abusive when I say that it's people like you that Jim Sillars (SNP) was talking about years ago when he said about some of Scotland's voters wouldn't back Independence (1979) because "they don't have the bottle". I am no youngster and I have seen how, over many years, the London Parties have treated Scotland as second class, looked down on us and held us back. England has the same attitude towards Wales and Ireland.
In Scotland I have lived through seeing the decimation of Shipbuilding, the Motor Industry, Mining, Steel manufacture, the Merchant Navy, etc, etc,etc, the list goes on. I 'm quite sure you would not call this "progress", we have in fact gone backwards because of London interference aided and abetted by successive Scottish Secretaries who have changed their spots in search of power and the high life the minute they got a taste of London life. I am not some crazy SNP fanatic, I like to look at matters in a clear light and I will side with any party who is talking sense. I want to see Independence because I know it will be the best thing for Scotland and we can progress if we all pull together.
People should be under no illusion that when Scotland's assets have been used up by the London Treasury our country will be of no further use to them and they will be begging for us to have Independence.
I don't really get your point? It's well known that the majority of the UK want rip up the arrangements we have with the EU. There's even a party dedicated to doing it in UKip!
If the SNP want to take Scotland out the EU it would have overwhelming support, from just not Scotland but all of the uk!
David Cameron's policy at the last election as to hold a referendum on the EU and he hasn't and refuses to! His own party is turning against him on this! You don't care about their lies though! Sooner or later Scotland will be out the EU there is a growing demand for it!
If Scotland leaves the UK then there is no longer a 'United' kingdom. Shouldn't that mean that England and Wales would have to apply to join the EU?
No reason to get over excited regarding the EU, first we take our own country in hand and halt the damage inflicted by the London Government, that is when everything changes and all bets are off, right now we are in a phoney war, all highly predictable, you are much involved in it yourself among others continually talking down the country and its people, this is nothing new our London Lackies have made a career out of it. It was Britain or the UK who negotiated the EU terms in the 70s which refered to a country whose capital was London and was called The United Kingom of Great Britain and Northern ireland. If another country called Scotland wanted to play they would say The Republic of Scotland must show us all over you are suitable to be a member. It would take about 8 years.
Scotland is in it as a part of the UK,but not as a new country. Pleased to clear that up.
We'll still be part if the E U if we become independent, it just means we don't need to share our stuff with The rest of the UK

Scotland , as a constituent part of the United Kingdom , are already full members of the European Union , so why would all that be ripped up and thrown away? Salmond , Sturgeon and Swinney just seem to want to put the kybosh on it all for just pure insular political nationalist ineptitude.
