Yes, but not in relation to their salaries. That would lead to bankers asking for higher salaries so their bonuses can be higher. There should be a figure which bonuses are not allowed to go over, and that top figure should onlu be paid out in very exceptional circumstances.

Not from tax payers money. I do not struggle to get (and keep) a minimum wage job just to get my taxes wasted on some d1ckh3ad that "takes risks". Because its not THEIR RISK TO TAKE. They don't risk their salary. They don't risk their home. They don't risk their rent or mortgage going up.
They risk OUR homes, our mortgages, our salary. I pay taxes for NHS and police. NOT the bankers bonuses or salary or any other expenses they should be paying themselves.

Well no, not if they do well, there has to be some incentive to perform doesn't there? If they do badly then it should be no bonus at all. The heads of banks at the moment are not the people who caused the trouble, they were working elsewhere at the time of the failure of the banks and have been brought in to sort things out.
They should be scrapped until the Tax Payer is reimbursed.
