I doubt it, at least for now. North Korea is like the schoolyard bully who acts like he's going to punch you in the face, swings he fist at you, but stops his fist an inch from your face. It was just to scare you. NK does the same thing, provoking the USA and South Korea but always stopping just short of starting a war, actually re-starting the same war that ended with an armistice in 1953.
NK knows they would be quickly obliterated, they're not stupid and they devote considerable resources to studying our military capabilities. If the Korean War re-started they would have a very good Day 1, they have the largest artillery force in the world, sending millions (yes, millions!) of artillery shells over the Demilitarized Zone into South Korea, killing lots and lots of people including US troops. Day 2 of the war, and every day after would be very very bad for NK. We would launch a protracted air assault for weeks (like we did to Serbia in 1999 and Iraq in 2003), degrading their land, sea and air forces to uselessness. Then the South Koreans, with all their million reserves called up would move north. Our plan calls for over 500,000 soldiers and marines to land in NK within the first 30 days. They know all this.
NK is trying to provoke us into giving them something in exchange for peace. They may act crazy but there is method in the madness.
There wont be a world war.Why should there be ? There is no need to be.The world has more sense. There is a great danger however of another Korean war if NK invades the south again. That is quite possible and something would have to be done. We dont use the word "war" these days.
To me it looks like a world war waiting to happen. North korea wants to bomb america (as usual) and they said they were seriously going to do it but the UN gave them a warning telling them not to. So basically, north korea and Venezuala both are ready for war on america but north korea is allies with china and russia and china told them not to do it so china might side with us. There's also the middle east that may want to get involved in that so basically if North Korea bombs america like they say they're going to its going to be a very big war.
If their is, it won't last long....
Seeing how the armistice ended, will there be a second Korean War? Or a war with a different country?
